The Vocational School of Technical Sciences was established under the name of Tekirdağ Vocational School in 1976. It started to enrol students in the 1982-1983 academic year, and since then, it undertook a process of growth by opening new departments and programmes, such as those of Business Administration, Accounting, Electronic and Machine Programming, and others. The Vocational School became a part of Namık Kemal University in 2006 and was re-named as Vocational School of Technical Sciences in the 2008-2009 academic year. Since its establishment, it has had the honour of raising technicians and members of profession for the industrial and service sectors.
The School aims to raise members of profession on international level, who accept the life-long learning process and possess the necessary knowledge to improve the standards of life of the nation and humankind.
